Bank of Scotlandbank of scotland
With you all the way
Up in Scotland, if you were a customer of the Bank of Scotland (not to be confused with the Royal Bank of Scotland) you had to endure Halifax ads, dubbed with a Scottish accent. Luckily for our Celtic neighbours they’ve now got their own campaign (and if you’ve seen the new Halifax ads you’ll know just how lucky they are).
We went for something a little more laid back and empathetic. Beautifully illustrated by SHOUT, or Alessandro as his mother calls him, and animated by Hibbert Ralph. The music is by Broadcast 2000, an instrumental version of their track ‘Run’ from Building Blocks.
As simple as the animation looks, it actually proved so complex that Hibbert Ralph had to get new software written to achieve the massive pull back that’s used throughout the ad.
